The Nature and Human (Przyroda i Człowiek) Foundation is a non-governmental organization that conducts public benefit activities in the field of nature protection and sustainable development. It was established in 2012 to create innovative projects in the field of active protection of natural and cultural heritage. The Foundation cooperates with local communities, non-governmental organizations as well as scientists, naturalists and culture experts.

Asplan Viak AS is a Norwegian consulting company specializing in mapping solutions and databases for internet and mobile platforms. It works in R&D projects and also offers a range of map-based applications for the public sector, tourism and e-learning. It carries out projects in Norway, Europe and the Middle East.

The Project has also been implemented in close cooperation with – and with the support of – the Nowy Targ State Forestry Authority and the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Cracow.

Working together for a green Europe
„Carpathians Unite Conservation of Orawsko-Nowotarskie Peatlands” benefits from a 849 910 EUR grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants. The aim of the project is to protect valuable natural habitats: a raised bog and marshy forest communities in its vicinity, located in the Czerwone bog woodland nature reserve (one of the Polish Ramsar sites), as well as other wetland ecosystems in the Orawsko-Nowotarskie Peatlands complex. Co-financing from the state budget amounts to 149 984 EUR.
